Your Medical Files are now open to the Cops

Once upon a time a Canadian citizen going to their doctor could count on Doctor/Patient confidentiality and reveal personal secrets relevant to their Medical Condition. The protection of private, personal medical was considered sacred and not available without a warrant. That warrant would be for one individual file and not for the whole filing cabinet. Medical information was considered sacred until the RCMP and OPP combined forces to engage in a little sacrilege.

The cops in Ontario at this moment are intentionally destroying Doctor/Patient confidentiality. At this time they are sifting through all the personal, private and confidential medical information in all the medical files of an Ontario physician and are copying it for future reference. They’ve already had three months to poke their nose into the personal affairs of the people they are sworn to protect from such outrage.

Jan. 26, 2000 a 20 member joint RCMP/OPP Swat Team conducted an early morning raid on the medical practice of Dr. Rob Kamermans who they allege has been acting as a major drug dealer in Cob Hill Ontario.

He has been signing the application forms for patients to legally possess and use Medical Marijuana and the secrecy of the Medical establishment is a primary obstacle to the cops’ desired invasion of patients’ privacy.

Apparently the mental giants in charge of the Bancroft Cop Crowd decided that the whole damned Medical Marijuana thing was a pain in the ass. The most critical component of the whole program is finding a Canadian Physician to authorize it and when they were informed by a ratfink GP that Dr. Kamermans was signing Applications they were handed a double bonus.

Dr. Kamermans is an exemplary physician, rated among the best in Ontario and he makes an excellent sacrificial lamb to slaughter. They intentionally set out to attack and ruin him. and set a deterrent that will have every GP in Canada crapping their drawers at the mere suggestion they sign an application for Medical Marijuana.

At this point No illegal drugs have been found and no charges have been laid but by holding onto all his medical files they have effectively stopped his practice of medicine.
If any patients need his services and suffer unimaginable pain and discomfort the cops don’t give a shit. They’ve made their point. They can forget about any prosecution of the good doctor now, he’s served his purpose. They have made it transparently clear to the medical profession that it doesn’t matter how good or law abiding you are, the simple accusation that you signed a form is enough to ruin your life and career. The cops don’t care.
